November 2006, Oman Refinery Company has awarded a team of Iran’s Hirbodan ($114 million) engineering, procurement and construction contract for a 54-MW Cogeneration Power Plant and Utility at its Mina al Fahal Refinery. The contract is part of a plan to increase the refinery’s output to 105,000 b/d from 85,000 b/d. This project has been delivered to client in 2009.
