Ilam Gas Refinery Phase 2 Construction Reaches 80% Completion

The construction of phase 2 of the Ilam gas refinery has made significant progress, reaching an impressive 80% completion mark.

According to shana.ir, Mr. Ebrahim Asalati, the executive of refining projects at the Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company, referring to the progress of the construction of phase 2 of the Ilam gas refinery, said: “This project, which is actually the development of the first phase of this refinery, increases the current refining capacity of this complex, which is currently 8.6 million cubic meters per day, by 50%.”

He divided this strategic project into five sections and added: “This project includes the construction of gas condensate stabilization units, gas sweetening, compression, sulfur recovery, and desalination, and the overall progress of the project is about 80%, and we hope that the project will be completed in various phases by August 2024.”

He explained the planning done in this project: “The plan is that Unit 100, which is the condensate unit, will be operational in February 2024, Unit 200, which is the gas sweetening unit, and the compression unit will be operational in April 2024, and finally, the sulfur recovery and desalination unit will be operational in August 2024.”
